What like in 2016 when people voted out the SNP majority Government? Or in 2017 when you lost half your seats? Don’t kid yourself that people vote SNP based on your domestic record. The only reason people vote for them is as a “ways and means to independence”.

NI is an ongoing concern between workers of each generation. It is not based on debt. They are not linked, but the UK could choose to terminate pension payments. No its not a quid pro quo. SNP has repeatedly hinted it will renege on debt. Not reliable to negotiate on that point.

There is no promise to pay Scottish pensions in an independent Scotland, including those currently in payment. After independence they are the responsibility of the Scottish Government.
