Let's get this straight then. 1. Increased viral load was extrapolated from genomics. Eh?? 2. Assumed increased serum viral load = greater transmission. Eh?? 3. Nothing on titres in fluids that actually spread the virus. Seriously we need more than thishttps://twitter.com/Edwina_Currie/status/1341046926930829313 …

Transmission is linked to behaviour. I don't see clinical data for viral titres in identified patients, or in their saliva or nasopharyngeal secretions. We needed this. Else we are going on a well intentioned hunch. At this point we need more than that.

Always read the small print and the minutes, even if the Bonsall paper remains unpublished. They accept they have no data strong enough to explain how it is more transmissable.....yet somehow it is. FFS.pic.twitter.com/4HdthAn3O3

Als antwoord op @JonMarcStanley
Looks to me they're saying a lockdown would not be expected to make a difference based on its spread during a previous lockdown? And no conclusion can be drawn on its severity yet all the media saying its no more severe than the original virus and the jab will work?pic.twitter.com/jXRixR1r6Y

Correct. No way of knowing yet if this strain has shown immune escape. Others have been found that potentially will. Yet nothing reported on those!
