Would the police in Scotland enforce this? Surely not. Would the Armed forces? An illegal referendum would be ignored, and rightly so, by the instruments of state and by the majority of the populace. Not that we'd vote for it anyway.

Police, yes because theyre politicised. No army needed, just put Police Scotland under SoS control under special measures. This is all because the Scotland Office is a busman's holiday for Whitehall and not a serious outfit.
