Not in city centres. High levels of congestion, almost none are hybrids or use cats, and are often poorly maintained. Just stand behind one. They're filthy things.

Edinburgh buses are being gradually replaced with much cleaner ones. Even the dirty old ones do the job of up to 80 cars.

Sure but its slow progress. They could use filters, better engines etc.

They really aren't. I know about buses and now most of them are really hygienic and safe. If you see a problem it's a fault with the bus and you should contact Lothian
