By 2030 electric cars will not be crap - far from it. The vast majority of people make their choices based on economics it’s that simple

Mercedes is one of the top marques in the UK. Not Ford or Dacia.

Top? How many are on the road? Not new sales but total registrations? Let people who can only afford a Dacia drive a Dacia. Its not a choice between Dacia and Merc, it's a choice between Dacia or bus or feet.

Sorry I’m mistaken, merc is second, though it’s their cheapest one. There’s nothing wrong with a Dacia. I’d sooner have any car than no car. But what I’m saying is if it was purely economics at play, premium / luxury cars would sell far fewer than they presently do.pic.twitter.com/gzIKzhr227

Sure but Boris would NOT rather you have any car. He'd rather you have an expensive car or no car at all. To keep the traffic low for the very wealthy. No workmen, no single mums, no eldery, no self employed. Just the well healed.

I’m not so sure on that one considering the party he represents froze fuel duty for the last ten years because it’s a key factor for many many voters.

Froze? It's too high. Freezing it just locks in high prices. Cut it. Cut it heavily. It's repugnant a modern country runs this kind of hydraulic economy. It's an unapportioned tax.

Taking ‘freezing duty’ to be a neutral action (as it’s neither cut nor increased), it’s still hardly indicative of a government which seeks to price ordinary people out of private motorised transport.

He has stated it is government policy to make driving only available for the wealthy. After the year where he's shut your pub, bankrupted your workplace, laid off your spouse, spent billions of your money on dodgy contracts. He may as well come round and kick the dog's face.

Going for the measured approach to debate tonight then...

Like the PM. He shows complete disregard for the wellbeing of the poor and isolated. For many families in the UK he's done as much damage as he can so he may as well come and kick the dog.
