Morally??? This is about law. Law cannot be selectively applied in a free society. The SNP was happy to take UK govt to court over prerogation. So they have set the precedent here. Rules are rules.

You talk about the law as if it was a block of stone, immutable. When it has always been something that changes and adapts to the world it serves, and necessarily so.
