I read people complain about interest rates in savings. I havent had savings in 12 years. Pulled out the lot and invested, never looked back. Pull your money out of banks if you're not happy with savings rates.

It’s bizarre that people expect to earn a return from just numbers in a bank account. Only money at risk should earn a positive return.

When I was a kid, if you borrowed money you paid approx 5%. If you had money, you got approx 4%. It was only when these financial "wizz kids" started to offer cheap mortgages and loans that we end up in this idiotic situation. Also these cheap loans have inflated house prices.

Growing population, changed housing arrangements with large increases in single households & NIMBYISM by the baby boomers preventing new housing being built caused housing inflation.

No fault divorce, no cap migration, tax on income and not property, housing benefit, all have increased demand, choked supply and squeezed incomes. Terrible formula
