There are 4 AGR reactors in Scotland. They generate almost all our baseload power. They were due to close 2023. If they all closed by 2023 an independent Scotland would generate almost no baseload power. Guess who we'd have to import it from. They're asleep at the wheel. :)

Until one calm early February morning when 30 million kettles and TVs and laptops turn on then we're totally f**ked. We need nuclear stations, modern ones, and 1 or 2 very modern coal stations as placekeepers so we keep our skills up.

Indeed we do but our governments have allowed the costs to get astronomical. Don't hear much about the small modern ones. Another area where Scotland should be involved but won't
