It’s also irrelevant to my central point. If workers and businesses want to work from home, that’s up to them.

The reason we’re giving you a hard time is that on this issue you have abandoned your wonted rigour. It would be solved in a trice if you marked and digested this https://www.aier.org/article/lockdowns-and-mask-mandates-do-not-lead-to-reduced-covid-transmission-rates-or-deaths-new-study-suggests/amp/?p=64649&__twitter_impression=true … Oh and also learned that it ceased to be a ‘pandemic’ in April

Actually, I’ve read that study. It is interesting but I think underplays the role of behavioural change. Some places in the world have 70%+ antibody prevalence. Suggests other areas with big outbreaks see populations adjust, almost regardless of lockdowns (which I’ve always said

Why do you think the death rate peaked at what was probably far less than 70% infections, on a similar trajectory to Sweden.

my best guess, given that we saw far higher prevalence in earlier times, is behavioural change. How does your story of immunity account for 60-70% antibody prevalence in certain areas?

Your best guess isn’t worth the unicorn it rode in on

Antibody presence is not proof of immunity for a novel pathogen. People with HIV antibodies are not immune. HIV vaccines do not work despite eliciting antibody responses.
