No. I'm making a short term judgement on short term evidence. Everything else is up in the air. Muddling through week by week is a perfectly sound empirical strategy.

That's interesting and it's where you're completely wrong. Muddling through doesn't hold any more viability than any other strategy and crucially it ignores that 95% of people will recover on their own. A third to half without realising it.

It does not ignore 5% of clinical cases that will die. The govt is gambling, and is gambling on assumptions made from other viral pathologies.
