Simple. Don't give in. Tell them to sod off and it's rude to ask people about their sex lives, and quite pervy too. Women, and men, are pressured to do many things and are more respected for standing their ground.

The counter argument is it just rewards such snoopy people. Traditionally liberals are quite supportive of privacy of individuals. No easy answer but many will be disappointed women in politics are still seen through the lens of sex. We need to move on.

Sure, but representatives I think are expected to keep it separate. It's a principle of professions that you keep your preferences away from your role as a representative.
