Not post-Brexit. With such large vote shares receiving nothing at all AND having large parts of the country being one party regions there is a greater need now. I used to be VERY pro FPTP. With an increasingly heterogenous society it doesn't work anymore.

One myth that has been dispelled by recent events is that ppl care about voting for individuals. This election was an experiment in that there were a high number of candidates who quit their parties to run as independents. Every single 1 lost. People vote for parties

Which actually removes the main objection to some forms of PR i.e. that people have to vote for an individual candidate. The reality is most people dont care

I suspect most people don't pay close attention. When required to use systems other than FPTP, in Euro elections, assembly elections or for Mayors or PCCs they just get on with it. FPTP is the politicians' fetish rather than a people's fetish.
