Robinson is a bad egg who we'd be wise to avoid. He adds nothing but foam to difficult complex issues

I appreciate as much as we disagree on a lot of things that we can agree on that Jonathan. And to be clear I don't lump all unionists in with him by ANY stretch of the imagination. He is a horrid stain on this planet.

I know. Nor should Yes voters be ridiculed. SNP leaders? For sure. Yes voters? We have to offer them a bettle settlement when around 40-45% want us to leave the UK. You can't be a patriotic Brit and pretend 45% of your country isn't relevant

Exactly man. The issue for the Yes voters you mention is we feel the current system is broken and doesn't do Scotland any favours. And the same on the other end. Indyref2 supporters need to be trying to convince others why it is a valid alternative to Westminster rule.

And a new unionist party has to create, in effect, a post-nationalist vote by improving the settlement away from the South East.

Essentially I think a big problem for the Tories up here is the connection and the supposed "bowing down" to English party lines. It makes it difficult for them to represent many in Scotland in my opinion. Holyrood shows parties up here can work together and represent us all.

And I don't mean just cause the SNP hold the minority government in Holyrood. SNP, Greens, Labour, Conservative all work together to be progressive for Scotland. That is why our devolved areas perform better than the rest of the UK.

Well, some policies that seem nice upfront have drawbacks. Free personal care for millionaires has spread the service too thin and the most vulnerable suffer. Tories banged on about Frank's Law before committing to additional funding, watering the gruel even further.

Ye. Underfunding is a huge problem. But rather than Scotland getting the extra funding for that. It turns into a pissing contest between Westminster parties. The attitude towards Scotland in Westminster is a massive problem too.

That article was fairly interesting btw. Fair assessment regarding Swinson in particular. And I am assuming the author isn't a fan of FPTP? (I am not either)
