Did you know our Fed poverty line is based on 1955 spending, & the way we calculate it hasn’t changed since 1964? It assumes 1 earner & a mother home full-time. It doesn’t include cost of childcare, geographic cost of living, or healthcare. Some predict it should be *$38k/yr.*https://twitter.com/nytimes/status/1176798553957707778 …

Magic is housing and feeding and clothing and educating and getting healthcare for a family on what the GOP thinks business owners should have to eek out for wages.

America has been getting worse since Reagan's voodoo economics were implemented. He started us on the path towards massive income inequality. Now 40% of the country can't afford a $400 emergency.

Someone had a theory that it hasn't always been about "inflation" but yet the value of our dollar keeps getting worse. Milk went from $.50 to $4 a gallon. We have more cows & better tech to get more milk, faster. why the price increase?

Inflation, animal welfare, disease control, hygiene standards, lack of competition.
