Erm . . . £47 million to fully mitigate the bedroom tax for more than 70,000 households - up from £45.4 million. £10.9 million, up from £4.8 million, to help mitigate other UK Government policies such as the Benefit Cap and Local Housing Allowance rates.

Exactly. If Sturgeon and her cronies get independence, let's see how they get on without the Westminster handouts. Not to mention our share of the national debt that we will be handed. Oh and don't forget the huge black hole in the independent economy no one seems to remember.

Vast wealth of resources? Do you mean an oil industry that will be soon obselete? What about the huge debts that we will inherit? What about having to change currency, a hard border with England. Leaving the UK will make leaving the EU look easy.
