Victoria Derbyshire: Let's talk about the moon landings.... Guest: I'm fascinated by the role women played... This is an obsession now. Genderism is a cult, a rigid lens that all history must be viewed through. It infantilises major historical technical achievements.

Were women 'allowed' to be engineers etc in the 60's?

Celebrating women's achievements on a women's program is not an obsession. It's normal it gives women role models that they didn't think they had. I had no idea until hidden figures came out that there was even women in the space program.

We don't have to say "what about the men" because everyone knows they're there. Now it's different (although the black hole imagery has people trying to erase a woman's role in favour of a man's)
