“He’s a good guy he wouldn’t assault a woman” “He’s a good guy he wouldn’t rape a woman” “He’s a good guy he wouldn’t murder a woman” He can. This is the current narrative. It’s depressingly sad

He assaulted her and at any other work function in any other line of work he’d be sacked and referred to police.

He threw her out. At a function she'd have been a guest.

He laid hands on her without provocation or cause at a private function. That’s assault. I’m not sure why you are even contesting that.

By physical force, without prior attempts to ask her to leave, without training in restraint or arrest and without cause or provocation. That is assault.

Cause was removing her. Provocation was storming a meeting uninvited or announced with the intention to cause alarm. The most irritating aspect is those that break the rules are the first to cry to mummy if they think others also have.

If it had been a Labour MP would you be really spouting this nonsense? Weren’t you all “crying to mummy” about Jo Brand last week?

Yes. Same issue. An elected politician was threatened with an attack. Break the rules? Expect others to stretch them. Sad life eh? Zero sympathy
