If people want faiths and feelings to dominate facts that is fine, they are not remotely suited then to a job that is specifically about facts and objectivity, which any editor should be striving for.

I don’t see that there’s anything here to do with feelings or faith though, or any potential loss of objectivity. It’s about ability to do the job in a reasonable environment

I agree in a reasonable environment but if that job is to be objective and not say that black is white nor that man is woman it is hard to imagine them being credible. In the end it is about credibility.
