Try 90% medium crystal malt and 10% distiller's malt as an infusion mash and get back to me ;) I made a fake keptinis with it but using Jovaru which is hard to floc. The taste was lovely though. I'll rebrew with K-97 as an Alt-type beer.
Well, the BJCP say nothing about keptinis, so in that sense they are blameless. And if a commercial brewer made fake keptinis (or whatever), the BJCP can do nothing about it. So …
