Of course. It paid Turkey billions for the awful policy of one in one out on asylum seekers. If the agenda is served they will find a way. Harsh but true. It is rules based yes but morals? No. None.

The problem is the European Parliament election. I f elections not held then no extension possible. Deadline for final decision on that reported to be 12 April.

For the election timetable yes, but it will be banged out that its only provisional and only after May elections will long extension be "reluctantly required"

But the European elections are in May also. An extension could not be requested, or granted, after May, if the elections have not happened.

The point is to avoid a total collapse in local elections, we are on course for an utter slaughtering as things go with extending Article 50
