Meanwhile, the govt has just slashed the public health budget by another £85 million. I made no link between gout & austerity. But malnutrition, most definitely. And since it is PHE that monitors infectious diseases, its yr on yr budget cuts have clear potential relevance. But when you dismiss comments as "crap", you're just being offensive. Enjoy your weekend.

Pertussis vaccination is offered in early childhood and antenatally. It ameliorates disease, but doesn't stop you catching it again. It can still be a nasty disease in those who've been vaccinated, and is exacerbated by malnutrition and poor housing.
