The same all over the country. The reason A&E are so busy. Also might have something to do with immigration. Or maybe an ageing population which is the usual lame excuse.

Having worked in several A&Es I can say it is not lame. Most immigrants being younger do not need admission. Two issues with immigrants that are real: 1. More likely not to see GP first. 2. IF their English is poor, takes longer to assess. Age by far the biggest driver of demand.
