actually seniors being shitty, unsupportive and downright rude to juniors makes it 100 times worse. It's atomising and engenders mistrust. Regs definitely make their lives harder emulating previous abusive consultants

Loss of camaraderie and the traditional firm has made relationships between individuals very much worse.

References count for shit. No research programme established for juniors. Fixed term posts creates second class trainees. ARCPs gratuitously rude. All driven by profession. Very sad.
