However the Tories dress it up, their approach to welfare still smacks of privilege. Me in @Sunday_Posthttps://www.sundaypost.com/fp/mandy-rhodes-accidents-happen-and-benefits-are-a-safety-net-the-clues-in-the-name/ …
Child benefit is not a safety net. It is paid universally. Give parents tax breaks. Make clear they HAVE to choose a credible life partner before having children. It is not free money, other hard working families aqnd businesses pay for it. @MBallantyneMSP

Cos no marriage ever breaks down, no parent ever loses their job, and no-one ever ever ever gets pregnant by accident.

Our lords and masters in WM seem to get by without having to demonstrate that they are credible life partners, or is that just for people who are in receipts of benefits and not tax payer funded salaries and expenses.
-
Nope the Lord and Masters are excessively pampered and I see no reason why Lords should receive payment unless they are actually doing committee work. Not simply for turning up, signing in and pissing off for lunch in Belgravia. Ditto for Eurocrats
