Its not research. Not even close. It went out under the banner of the largest doctor's organization, not written by a doc, not evidenced by ANY relevant body, 3/11 references are media articles, others by GMC and BMA. A circle jerk. Very disappointing

Take your point on few references. But those to some BMA articles refer to surveys of doctors; their perceptions of risks and concerns are at least as relevant as your own, arguably - and of public interest.

But uninformed fear does not a policy make. There has zero effort to look at the trade offs, or indeed how useful the EU bodies are given half of Europe doesn't use them. We're not Schengen so our nationl policy can easily include stricter border checks.
