With respect Sir, I speak from experience (not personal, but someone close to me) - think for just ONE second you were falsely accused. 1) How do you think the sytem would treat you. 2) How do you think your relatives/friends/colleagues would treat you. 3) Would you ever recover?

Of course false accusations are hugely damaging and there is a case (on balance, I am against) for anonymity for the accused. But scale of the problem pales next to the tens of thousands of women (and some men) whose lives are destroyed by a system that permits rape with impunity

False allegations of rape run between 2 and 8%. 8% is an incredibly generous margin and it's likely to be much closer to 8. That means most rapes reported, happened. False allegations of car crime much higher.
