"Astro-turfed" (in case you haven't come across the term before) means 'fake grass roots'. These very sophisticated websites, which usually break all sorts of laws, purport to be built by proper communities but are in fact funded by dark money.

This has been an issue that has troubled me for some time now. You try and discover who is behind these sites and - entirely unlawfully - they won't say. Tackling the problem at a site-by-site level is difficult and expensive and no one tends to have a big enough interest.

I am by know means rich I’m nearly scraping by as I had to give up work due to severe illness but I donate every month to as you seem to be the only people taking this government to task. Grateful for the work you do.
