Financial & insurance algorithms have far-reaching effects. Employers use credit scores (unless state law forbids) to “predict” reliability. Combined fin/ins algorithms impact access to driving license & car tags, making it harder to get to work. Baked-in prejudices affect a lot.

You know what would have made this article better? Some acknowledgement of the books on this very subject written by people like
@safiyanoble. If you're going to be late to the game on this, fine; but ignoring the voluminous research and writing already out there is a bad look. -
Basically, it doesn't appear you read anything over 40 pages in your "research." There are important books by
