If I could have any superpower it would be perfect control of attention.
It takes a lot of effort to consistently focus the laser beam, and doubly so when there’s too much context switching!

One thing about being on the spectrum is that focus is relatively easier. I've always kind of felt like extreme focus was my one true skill.

I always find it hard to focus. ADHD all my life. Drugged out on ritalin and amitriptyline until I was a kid. That last one was highly addictive and the core reason why, to this day, I have problems falling asleep. Shit would put you in a coma.

I came off of it cold turkey when I turned when I reached the cut off age when Medicaid stopped paying for my doc/medicine (my mom was super poor). Was awake for like 4 days straight before I finally crashed.
