CNN is currently flatly saying that Rs have aligned themselves with insurrectionists. And then in the next segment suggesting that passing policy through reconciliation would be partisan and perhaps divisive. The fact of the first should perhaps affect the second.

Watching the arc of McConnell just makes me sad. The rock of McConnell is to recast the Senate as though the recent past never happened.

Forget divisive, impeachment is an underreaction to what Trump pulled to try to maintain power.
