1. This article about the effort to recall Chesa Boudin correctly points out that serious violence is not at the center of Boudin’s critic’s concerns – indeed violent crime is DOWN in San Francisco since Boudin took office....https://www.nytimes.com/2021/11/10/us/san-francisco-recall-chesa-boudin.html …

2. But the article is still bad and gets things wrong because it cites Boudin’s critics without actually bothering to check the free, publicly available data. It’s lazy “he said, she said” journalism that propagates falsehoods, fails to check and see whether one side is lying.

4. But a quick look at the San Francisco police department’s website shows that “larceny-theft” is DOWN SINCE BOUDIN TOOK OFFICE.https://www.sanfranciscopolice.org/stay-safe/crime-data/crime-dashboard …

5. In fact theft is DOWN a lot since the last year prior to Boudin taking office. 2019 YTD: 35,512 larceny thefts 2021 YTD: 24,890 larceny thefts THAT IS A **DECLINE** of 30%!!

We know you are a .@chesaboudin crony. Theft isn’t down. I’ve been here 22 years. It is rampant. It’s not getting reported.
