The California State Senate has approved a measure that will provide universal basic income for youth coming out of the foster care system. Huge thanks to San Francisco District Attorney @chesaboudin!https://www.davisvanguard.org/2021/06/sf-da-applauds-ca-senate-ok-of-youth-basic-income-plan-champions-other-youth-programs/ …

Replying to @LarkinStreet @chesaboudin
What are the expectations of the youth? Any work or other requirements?

The only requirement is that they vote democrat if they want their checks.

It’s true. Money without expectations doesn’t help anybody.

Listen, I don't like Chesa. But no way anyone could make anyone vote a certain way to continue the checks. How many foster kids vote, do you think? They're too busy trying to keep a roof over their head.

I think he meant conditioning people to think free no strings attached money as their begin to vote. Curious why you don’t like Chesa
