    Thanks 'Amir' I guess I and all Americans alive now are personally culpable and wow what a shock your solution is that we destroy ourselves for the benefit of people who hate us I've never heard this opinion before.

    The US was founded with a genocide, built on slavery, has been at war 233/242 yrs of its existence, destroyed dozens of innocent countries/democracies for profit, dropped 2 A-bombs on civilians, created dozens of terror orgs and is responsible for a genocide at this very moment.

    Conservatism has been losing the war for decades. Lest we forget, it spent the better part of 2015 and 2016 trying to prevent Trump from becoming president. You probably thought "Low Energy Jeb" and "Little Marco" were, like, sooo stupid too. Sit down.

    This is so stupid. I understand the desire to “make the left play by their rules,” and while you might win a battle, you’ll lose the war. Conservatism & indecency like this don’t coexist the way that progressivism & violence always have. Doesn’t work for us.

    Mr Krugman has been effectively wrong on everything (markets, bitcoin, technology, trade, GDP, FX, elections, history...): the real world is not something he has ever managed to grasp. So, predictably, he now supports the neocons (Iraq, Lybia, Syria, etc.)

    Many groups on the right have revealed their true moral emptiness under Trump: tax-cutters, evangelicals, conservative law types, etc.. But on the whole the neocons -- the people responsible for the Iraq war -- have turned out to have genuine principles. Credit where it's due.
