6/ Note the men on either side of Justice Jackson. To his left, in the tan suit, was U.K. Attorney General David Maxwell Fyfe. To Jackson’s right, the tall fellow, was Maxwell Fyfe’s principal deputy, G.D. (“Khaki”) Roberts, Q.C.

Roger Cohen writing beautifully, heartbroken, on Brexit, a tragedy for Europe, peace, people, & progress -- the U.K. no longer understanding what it paid bravely, dearly to defeat in WWII & then was important in building over the past 75 years.

In 1996, ran for president in a red plaid shirt, with signs & stickers reading "Lamar!" Today, his vote not to call witnesses to what he says sees as Pres. misconduct puts the "!" in his epitaph -- as in "Incoherent!," "Cowardly!," "Captured!", & "Cover-up!"

Amb. Marie Yovanovitch has retired from the Foreign Service. This is an enormous loss for American diplomacy. She has long been part of the critical senior service and hailed for her craft long before we knew of her deep public courage and patriotism. RT

Yes, teaching is my job. It happens to be a great one because I get trusted with the responsibility of leading & joining students who are working hard on important skills & subjects. This course is, to me & I can tell already to them, an extra-special one.
