@JohnLegere next thing T-Mobile needs to do is 3G data on international roaming.

@JohnLegere @SievertMike We also tried to make this clear in the post: P2P/Abusers only. Not dependent on how much data is used at all.

@johnlegere @sievertmike Except that it will be throttled, as it says in that article, for arbitrary data based on packet origin/destination

@rosyna @TmoNews @JohnLegere @SievertMike why? They've had it in the ToS for months because this particular type of usage hurts everyone.

@jmerithew87 @tmonews @johnlegere @sievertmike because the proper thing is to upgrade the network to handle the worst-case scenarios.

@rosyna @TmoNews @JohnLegere @SievertMike why, so you can pirate your movies? P2P is the absolute biggest network drain and usually used

@rosyna @TmoNews @JohnLegere @SievertMike illegally. I'd rather see those people throttled than people who go over 5 gigs like other crriers

@jmerithew87 @johnlegere @sievertmike T-Mobile also throttles the top 5% of users. And using "automatic data feeds" will also get throttled.

@rosyna @TmoNews @JohnLegere @SievertMike do you have proof of the top 5%? And you can disable P2P for the options you listed.

@jmerithew87 Disabling P2P for these makes them slower since the traffic has to cross networks. P2P decreases out of network traffic a lot.

@rosyna @JohnLegere @SievertMike you're also probably working around the tethering cap if you do that much on your data connection.

@jmerithew87 The top 5% is only about 5GB for mobile networks. Super easy to hit if you watch Netflix on a smartphone. It only takes 3-5 hrs

@jmerithew87 Once you hit that 5%, then these other "exceptions" will come into play, even if you use far less than 5% on P2P/webcam.
