States need to adapt to the evolving economy – that’s why I’m proud of this kind of change we’re seeing to move toward a lower-cost college degree for in-demand jobs.https://www.cincinnati.com/story/news/2018/03/22/cincinnati-state-plans-offer-new-bachelors-degrees-fill-jobs-region-culinary-science-land-surveyor/448766002/ …

That’s tradeschool—NOT college. Job-skill training; not critical thinking, logic, or well-rounded body of knowledge. This dumbing-down of higher ed is why -HS diploma is nearly meaningless -BA is roughly equivalent to a 1950’s HS diploma -MA is roughly equivalent to a 1950’s BA

When you going to found a new party John? You could call it the New Republican Party. Anything to distinguish it from the sorry state of the So-called Republican Party.

David Rubinstein sounds very wise. He said the illiteracy of our people hurts the economy. It’s increasing. Push for a way to help this group.

Stay out of education & private business. You do enough damage without involving more than what your supposed to be doing. You failed at infrastructure & social problems. Heroin is a big failure while you promote yourself. Obvious what's important to you while Ohio pays the price

56% of college students who actually graduate with a bachelor's degree take longer than 5 years. 2 years of prerequisite classes. Lose those physical education and astronomy classes, as well as many others, and allow student to graduate with 2-3 years and enter the work force @21

What is the average time it takes for the avg Ohio student at a state funded university to graduate? 4 years? I don't think so. Lower cost my ass. Until the federal govt removes itself as the bank of American Universities costs will never go down. U fleece students & taxpayers

How about forcing universities who take public funds to drop all the bullshit prerequisites and allow students to immediately focus on their majors...the way it is done in the UK. Or is it more important to fleece taxpayers and have graduates accumulate tens of k's in debt?
