If all the sudden you couldn't buy an AR-15, what would you lose? Would you feel your second amendment rights would be eroded? These are the things that have to be looked at and action has to happen.pic.twitter.com/CefKNaMKNE

11 teens die each day from texting & driving. Where is the outrage & demands to ban the sales of cellular phones? Or cars? You and others sicken me by politicizing tragedy for your personal gain. You must be going for the Democratic ticket in 2020. CNN?? Really?? #NotmyGovernor

We made laws making it illegal to text and drive... How is that working out? Kids are still tragically dying every day because of it. Gun control laws will not affect criminals with malicious intent. Look at the horrible tragedy in Westerville for example. Gun obtained illegally.

The AR-15 is been available since the mid-1960s. What's changed?

Society and culture has changed not the gun. No one is asking what they can do to help these teens who are doing the shooting.

Because saving lives or helping those who need help is not the objective.

On February 14, 900 unborn children died in abortion clinics across this country. And 900 died on the 13th, 15th, 16th, yesterday, today, tomorrow.... Where's the outcry?

Let me first say I don't own a gun. Not a member of the NRA. However, it's clear you have no understanding of the 2nd amendment! The 2nd amendment was put in place, not to protect me from my neighbor, not for me to hunt......but to protect me from my government.

No, the second amendment was put in place because there was no standing army, and the citizens WERE the militia. The intent was that our citizenry would always be able to defend themselves against foreign governments.

There was, in fact, a standing army. From June 14th, 1775 until today, the US Army has been there to protect this country. The 2nd amendment is there to keep the government accountable to (and fearful of) the people.

Those were militiamen, who went home whenever an imminent threat was over. It was a little bit later (but still under George Washington) that a true standing army was developed, with commitments to a defined period of enlistment.

You were right in saying that the citizens were the militia. They still are. The purpose of the 2A is to allow free people to remain free. Regardless of the source of the threat, they should have the means to defend their community against all enemies, foreign or domestic.

Since you and all of the other liberal globalists have infantilized our young men, I think the most important change would be raising the age to join the military to 21 years old. 18 year olds have the mental capacity of 12 year olds in today's liberal Society.

When I was 14, I had my first job. Worked at a pizza place after school, 4 nights a week. I can't recall the last time I saw a young kid working-Kids used to work as grocery baggers, Baskin & Robbins clerk's, etc. Democrat-controlled Unions ended that. Now children have no focus.

Democrats have ruined everything. Now they have ruined young adulthood; our society is in danger of collapsing. The liberal-controlled teachers union is ensuring that the next generation of kids are mindless robots, unable to think for themselves, only able to divide into groups.
