Crazy idea but what if we use BOTH market-based solutions AND government interventions when necessary?

Do us a favor and stop using the term God-given potential. It’s just code to appeal to evangelicals and “lift yourself by your bootstraps” crowd.

I think you have this all wrong. People are not looking for government to solve our problems, we are telling the government to fix healthcare with Medicare for all, fix gun violence by banning assault rifles, educate our children by investing in education instead of the wealthy.

Then why do Farms, Oil Companies etc. get subsidized? They got more money than any one of us? Why can't they solve things with their "God Given Gifts" why is it on the US Tax payer?
-
Or how about the banks? With their Predatory Lending? Pharmaceutical Companies pushing their pills and addicting a whole generation? Why do we the Tax Payer have to solve it?

I see nothing has changed with Kasich since I moved to CA 18 years ago. I keep abreast of OH politics bc I have a son who lives there and it's sad to see the same old failed policies and political gaslighting. Vote Blue, Ohio!
-
We are a per dominantly red state thank god if we vote blue we will end up like Venezuela the blue progressive policies have destroyed California Detroit Chicago we need to vote red not blue
-
Uh, I live in California. We are the 6th largest economy IN THE WORLD and we have a huge budget surplus. We do have our problems, but we're doing great! Detroit is coming back, Chicago is thriving. You see what you want to see. Turn off Fox "News."
-
Hahaha, right, that’s why California rationing Water it’s poorer now than 20yrs ago have the highest homeless population. the middle class and companies are leaving in droves. Chicago is a disaster the highest murder rate in the country
-
We aren't rationing water. We definitely need rain, but we aren't rationing water. We do conserve because we need water because we feed 80% of the country which includes you. Where do you people come up with that nonsense? LOL!
-
Governor Brown just pass a la Cathay you can only use 55 gallons of water a day per household instead of building a water reservoir the just lets the rain you do get go into the ocean
-
CA is a huge and diverse place. We have desert, mountains, the huge valley where we grow your food, forests, coastline. It's unlikely rain water that falls on the Central Valley is going to run into the ocean.
-
I have been to California it’s beautiful there.

How ignorant of a remark! The government fails us. It's not possible to make massive change on our own. Sometimes "God" given gifts aren't enough. Take a hard look at the opioid epidemic. PAY ATTENTION! JESUS CHRIST!

Very deep and philosophical, pal.
