A new report out today shows an estimated 290,000 Ohioans utilized Medicaid expansion, and then transitioned off because they got a job or a raise. Expansion has worked in Ohio. http://medicaid.ohio.gov/reports  #OhioMedicaidWorks

We also know 89 percent of expansion enrollees in 2016 had no health insurance at the time of their enrollment. In other words, employers aren’t transitioning their employees off their own plan so they can end up on Medicaid. #OhioMedicaidWorks

Also, the Medicaid Expansion report shows more parents found it easier to pay for food and shelter. And more found it easier to find and hold onto a job. http://medicaid.ohio.gov/reports  #OhioMedicaidWorks

Furthermore, strong budgetary leadership has made expansion manageable and affordable – and will continue to be into the future. Read Budget Director Keen’s presentation here: http://medicaid.ohio.gov/reports  #OhioMedicaidWorks

I have bipolar disorder. Before Obamacare I bounced around at the bottom always one step away from losing it all. I have been medicated for 8 years, 4 years on Obamacare and I am transformed.

Thank you, Governor Kasich, for expanding the #ACA in Ohio. You’re right, it has helped Ohioans & helped Ohio.

And yet, Ohio swung hard for Trump, who ran on repealing ACA #NoCureForTheStupid

I am not being politically correct, and calling it as it is. Going by 2016 results, that's exactly what Ohioans want- to be called stupid.

Absolutely! I have friends who you helped tremendously when you expanded Medicaid. Each of them (3) took care of their health needs and are no longer in need because they’re back at work w/ insurance. Ohio, and You, did it right! IMHO

This map doesn't reflect Ohio's recent decision, but provides an idea of the states who haven't expanded Medicaid. It should be a major election issue in 2018. It would be helpful to hear more about the impact on uninsured citizens without it.pic.twitter.com/KpeDXdwr15
