That not convincing. Did they close for the same reasons? How many new ones opened? Is it more than you’d exploit to close during a depression? It’s not remotely indicative of what the guy is saying.
I don’t have the data around this... only anecdotal evidence and personal experience in my neighborhood. It’s not the same in every store. It could be because the store just wasn’t as profitable. Although how bad would it have to get to get large enough numbers?
