Serious question b/c I had a friend die of early onset dementia at age 54 recently so it's not a joke.

I think "early onset" is a nice way of saying "slow dementia." I think slower progressing dementia will often be called "early onset." Either way, The Estados Unidos would be better off if we tested the mental faculties of our military leadership.
