I think / hope it mostly is. But this odd little bro-pocket has formed where the whole point is to harm other scientist. The cruelty is the driving force of the work.

I don't understand what you mean John. I ran a set of experiments with colleagues. We published those results. A comment was written and we responded. You say this means my whole point is to harm other scientists, that cruelty is the driving force of my work. Please explain.

We all wish that was all you'd done. But 1) the paper makes strong accusations of misconduct (of some great scientists who are also good people) amplified in follow up posts and media coverage.
