This is brutal re: A game I'd been intending to buy no matter what. It's not the subjective stuff that gets me, it's the objective description of how combat works. It just sounds like a mindless, frustrating, repetitive slog.

Very little in the way of story, characters or horror. Oppressively linear, terrible combat that excels only in frustrating you, and absolutely woeful PC performance. It breaks my heart but sadly, The Callisto Protocol is an easy skip. My review: ==> youtu.be/mm8pxfU9c6E

That's what got me. I was willing to live through the linear/on rails nature and the lack of quality characters ... until i heard about the combat.

I watched a video of Cory Kenshin play it and I got series Dead Space vibes all over the place. Then to find out it wasn't in the same universe just blew my mind. Sucks that there's no story. That's okay. God of War Ragnarok has story in spades.
