But to do that, you shouldn’t have made the tax cuts on the wealthy so steep and permanent. How are we supposed to pay for infrastructure investment, or invest in retraining, or help fund R&D (which you disincentivized) if we don’t have the revenue?
Of course, you probably realize that the next step is entitlement cuts...you just can’t say that out loud before 2018. But what you’ve done is made a yawning income divide worse, and along the way failed to fund the reinvestment this country needs.
They already said it out loud before the ink was even dry. They've been saying it for months at that. What's worse: Republican "entitlement reform" is quite literally stealing from every working class American citizen. We pay into it directly, which is why they are entitlements.
