Key word is "precedent." If it happens to former President Trump, that precedent will be applied to future, former Presidents. A bad idea.
To call this “revenge” is completely stupid. It would be “delayed justice.”
There must be consequences before there is healing. Five people are dead, there must be accountability.
Echoes from the past - “email lady, 4 dead in Benghazi”. Non-stop investigations. She wasn’t POTUS (should have been) but there was accountability. Why do these people feel special ?

I’m okay w setting a precedent that holds Presidents accountable for inciting an insurrection. Doesn’t bother me in the slightest.
It’s not about revenge. This person committed treason trying to over throw the democratic process. He encouraged a mob to use force at the Capital. 5 ppl died. He should be punished. Law & Order! You turn a blind eye to his crimes and to Ted Cruz as well. Shameful
