    Although we won’t vote on additional witnesses in impeachment trial until Friday, House managers need to know that both sides will have same chance to identify potential witnesses to call. Obvious choices are Adam Schiff, Joe Biden and Hunter Biden for starters.

    What you cite at best shows this is uncharted territory, which is exactly why it will end up in litigation.

    This from is mostly nonsense. The GOP executive privilege excuse for not voting for witnesses and evidence is crap. Here's an explainer, relying on legal experts and a recent CRS report:

    Schiff’s decision in House impeach inquiry to not pursue witnesses where privilege claims are likely won’t save time, it only shifts the delay to the Senate. So much for progress on drug prices, highway/infrastructure, and much more, with the election right around the corner

    Doubt Chief Justice would embrace such role in the partisan impeachment process. Instead, privilege claims would be litigated in courts while Senate waits, perhaps for months, maybe past the 2020 election. In meantime, all legislative business would be on hold.
