(2 of 2) It might also bring some honesty to the current situation where private self-funders pay inflated fees to cover the shortfalls in publicly funded care.

Every little helps? & have spent time and thought voucher scheme. It won't cover everything for everyone but could give some families some peace of mind as they look to the future. (1 of 2)

Yes I think we're in for another focussed and positive discussion that could potentially and won't cost anyone anything except a little bit of time and empathy

The ⁦⁩ are launching a Special Interest Group for End of Life Care in 2020. Sometimes it’s difficult to predict that it is an “End of Life” scenario. So let’s take good care of everyone we meet, because you never know what tomorrow holds.

That's awful! Some falls may be caused indirectly by 'white coat hypertension' - ie high readings caused by just being at the GP surgery - so patient is given medication and BP becomes too low. This seems a much kinder way and therefore more likely to get accurate reading.

What a great idea! My mother (living with dementia) used to scream and fight as the pressure intensified in the band around her arm. She was convinced it was an attempt at amputation. An with that level of distress what chance of a helpful reading anyway?

It will be such a pleasure to meet at last -- and thank you for your support with the booklet. I hope it will be useful. It can be a complex transition from being the relative of a person at home to being the relative of a person in a Home. I think it needs talking about.

Agree. But when you complain about poor care after someone's death), instead of an apology and investigation, too often you are simply told in soothing tones that your anger is just a natural part of the grieving process. Not necessarily.

Looks like a good recommendation. Personally I think grief is something that is unavoidable -- and even 'right'. What one doesn't want is guilt or anger mixed in
