  12. Wow... this brings back some memories. I loved every moment of playing football and studying math at Penn State. This award felt like the culmination of years of hard work and determination to be the best mathematician and PSU football player I could be. It meant the world to me.

  19. Quantitative reasoning is a skill that you need to function in this world. It helps you manage money, understand loans, use data/information to make good decisions, and do many other things. I can’t stress the importance of correctly interpreting information/stats enough.

  20. Yesterday I visited the Haverford School in Philadelphia and got to talk to students and families about the importance of math! The point I almost always try to get across is that even if you aren’t going into a STEM field, math helps you think! And that’s a life skill you need!
