There were rumors that Bellerive’s greens were burnt out this summer. It appears those rumors were true. That said, not in an unplayable state, mostly just fuzzy around the edges #PGAChampionshippic.twitter.com/NVZNtvlv1o

Why is it that big of a deal? We need to get away from this perfect golf course goal. Courses all over the country trying to do the same and its killing and closing courses especially on the west coast. Amatuer golfers expecting to play aiagusta for $60 bucks it's impossible.

Jason it cost too much for all the labor, water and chemicals for $20 a round.

Welcome to the midwest this summer. Rain or 100*. No in between. Tough on courses.

IMO the toughest place to grow bent/poa in the US, the transition zone is brutal and our lack of spring + hot/wet weather has added to the annual challenge for my colleagues. I wish them the best of luck, guaranteed they have given it their all in preparation for the tournament

Quit whining and play it like they did 100+ years ago. Need the course to be perfect? You’re not that good. Adapt. Play on.

We have A-4 here in Minnesota. Been tough enough for us, can only imagine the difficulty of growing the same grass in St. Louis. IIRC they had a near two week stretch of 100+. I'm sure the course will play great and the PGA will get a great Championship.
