    The Bible says we are to pray for "strength" to "endure to the end," and thus escape. We do not need "strength" to be suddenly raptured, however. The rapture / resurrection is for all those who are in Him, not just for those who are super strong.

    The pretrib argument that it is "Jacob's Trouble" and therefore the Church has no involvement is a very poor argument—actually a form of replacement theology. Consider the fact that The New Covenant is Israel's covenant and the Marriage Supper of the Lamb is Israel's wedding.

    It's interesting to observe the unease many feel when discussing the place for imprecatory Christian prayer at the end of the age. For what it is worth, every time we say "Maranatha!" we are asking for the Lord to execute judgment against the wicked.
